How we build listings & score them
Where our data comes from and exactly how each 0–100 listing score is calculated.
Trust starts with showing our work. Here's precisely how MyOrbisBiz listings and scores are made.
Where listings come from
Listings are built from public business information and licensed data providers (see Data & sources). We do not invent businesses or reviews.
How the score is calculated
Every listing gets a 0–100 score. Each business starts at 100; each observable gap lowers it:
- No website linked — high impact
- No phone number listed — high impact
- Fewer than 10 reviews — medium
- Rating below 4.0 stars — medium
- No business hours listed — low
The score is the sum of those deductions subtracted from 100. Nothing else.
The honesty rule
Every gap we show is an observable fact from the business's public profile — never an estimate, never an invented statistic.
Owners are in control
Listings are built from third-party data and may be out of date. Any owner can claim their listing free, correct the details, and the score recomputes. See Trust & Safety.
Paid features never change the score
Featured and Sponsored placements affect visibility only. They never alter a business's score or its gaps. The review is data-driven and cannot be bought.
